Histone

A protein within Eukaryotic cell nuclei, DNA wraps around the histone complex ( composed of 4 corse histones), to every 147 base pairs there is one histone. Without these structures, DNA would be lengthy and easliy tangled, they also play a role in regulation of gene transcription.
